Hi Thanks for letting me join this forum, I thought you might be interested to know after speaking to Mountune there is some possibility of a group buy on the much coverted MR200 inlet....Heres where I am with it, and if anyone here is interested and willing to work to the terms given, then either join the facebook group or show an interest below.
Thanks
Paul

OK I have started a new group, the link is at the bottom of this post. The aim of this group has one purpose.... That is to get together a minimum or 25 people would like to purchase a Mountune MR200 Inlet manifold for the Mk6 Fiesta ST ST150.
The purchase price has not been finalised yet as it’s been so long since the last lot were produced, Mountune has agreed in principle that if we can generate enough interest, they will speak with the foundry and get the job re-quoted. Mountune have said ' I expect each person will have to commit up to £1,000'.
When we have enough people, who are serious about parting with money to buy one of these, then Mountune will begin talks with the foundry about the cost of producing a new batch.
Mountune have said, this will be for the cast inlet manifold, which would include the various plates and brackets that attach to the manifold. they'd include the thermal gasket for fitting manifold to engine. This is not an MR200 upgrade. The throttle body is not included. Calibration is not included.
Once we get a price, each person would need to commit to paying in full and up front (with no refunds) and then wait circa 12 weeks for production.
The money would be paid by you to Mountune and any buyer
contract would be with Mountune and not this group.
So, if you are happy to be involved on this basis, if you have access to a £1000 and are serious about taking the plunge, join the Facebook Group and lets see if we can make this happen 🙂

Nice one, good luck with this thumbs

I've got a custom manifold but if you're short of numbers I'll have one, why not. I know how to fit it now haha

Hi Jimmy, Thanks we are up to 28 people who say they are interested.... Just waiting to a firm price and to know if it can definitly happen, I see no reason why not, but thats out on my hands and sits with Mountune to decide. The signs are good at the moment. I will be posting again when I know more . Cheers!!

blimy well done, hope this goes ahead for many who missed out, I think I would reserve judgement on cost you all should expect a lot more than a grand given the times we are all in, but if its around that then snap them up !

Is there any graph to see the difference between this and standard manifold?

Heres the MR200 package vs the other two mountune packages, standard would be like the 165 but a bit lower of course. The 185 loses a lot of low down and then the 200 brings it back plus top end as well, so stronger all through the range. Also with standard cams torque nosedives past 6,000rpm, with cams and inlet it'll rev past 7,000

Looks nice, so if I have full milltek exhaust, Mountune CAIS, 60mm TB and Cosworth specs cams ( Newman ) am I missing only mountune manifold?

Sort of yeah, it would be like the equivalent of the 185 and then the manifold to take it to 200 with a different map.

The Mountune kits use their own one off Piper cam profile and a Mountune exhaust too but you can only get the exhaust used now I think, it was made by Milltek but sounded a bit better

Yeah, you can see with the torque all the 185 really does is move the torque curve to the right, the 165 looks pretty good but the top end will run out of legs a bit. For the road 165 would be great.

Sounds good I would like to also go for some higher CR pistons cca. 12,0: 1 and maybe head porting if here is any gain.

Does anyone have any info when this group buy can be done?

Thanks

In terms of power I will be aiming for, going to try avoid forging for now, mine needs a rebuild and it will be my first attempt, so will have the head ported and built by AL developments, going kent cams and springs, mountune inlet hopefully if not fusion fabs, Mountune CAIS hopefully they will have a batch for sale soon(ish), 60mm TB, light flywheel, full milltek system... that should make somewhere above 200hp
