Hi guys. Can you check the photos and confirm for me that this is ok:

I installed today the rear axle back on the car after some painting and grinding and I get this strange gap around bush when the axle is low on the back (shock disconnected). I presume it will be better when on the road?

BTW how did they manage to get the bush bolt to 125Nm when on one side is impossible to get the socket in there cos of gas tank, and the tightening is to be done after the car has been lowered on the road ?

cheers.

guys, please help.

I finished the rear and lowered the car to the ground. the position (gap) of rear bush and axle "holders" remained the same.
can anyone comment and maybe take a photo of there powerflex rear bush so I'm 100% sure this is normal.

thanks.

Hi,

it is very old but I have the same issue.
Same time the car is undrivable. The back is loose as hell.
I will check shocks to be sure but can anyone confirm that this is OK?

Thx

I've had the rear poly bushes on for years and haven't noticed any issues at all.

As above the 125Nm is fairly tight if it's not tight enough then there might be movement which obviously isn't good. Doesnt need to be tightened on the ground with poly bushes as they are free to pivot as the suspension moves.
