I have a problem or maybe not a problem but question about front seats side airbags. I have 2004 1.4tdci fiesta with standard seats with side airbags. I bought fiesta st 2005 half leather seats without side airbags. Now i have question. Can i move side airbags form my seats to st seats(is this safe?) or i need to put resistor to avoid airbag light and install st seats without side airbgas?

I wouldn't want to DIY something like air bags, could be quite dangerous if not done right. I'm not even sure if they'll need a resistor but of a warning light does come up then yes

Seat frame is the same in st and no st seat so moving airbag is like removing two bolts take out airbag from frame and put it to another frame so it's very simple. My worries is about seat material.

I wouldn't - I believe there are extra seams in the material to allow the airbag to pass through.

I would keep your eyes open for a set of ST seats with side airbags, or take the seats to a retrimming company and see if it's something they could accommodate or replicate on the ST material.

Resistor will stop the airbag light coming on, but would be better if you could get your airbag ECU reprogrammed to turn off the side airbags. I think FORScan with an extended license might be able to do that.
