I took my car to the dealer yesterday to have the alarm looked at. Before I took it I unloaded all my CD's etc, but CD 3 wouldn't come out! I asked them to look at it, and when I went to collect it they said they've had to order me a new CD player! And they have to send the old one back to Sony to get my CD out (what are the chances of me seeing my James CD again? )

They also said they have to order the new alarm module and then I will take the car back to have both items fitted, probably in a couple of weeks. Blimey, I hope nothing else goes wrong with it, mind you at least it is all under the warranty.

I think you can say goodbye to your CD!! Is always the same don't have it nedd to order come back in few weeks time!! this is wasting time to the client!

I got all of my CDs back so it depends on what the guys at Visteon (the people who actually make the radio) want!

Is this problem common on those CD changer on the fiesta?

Yep especially on the pre face lift cars. A few facelifted cars have had the same problem but not to the extent we did. At one point there were rumours of a 70% failure rate which is why they replace rather than repair.
