Recently bought a ST180 (2014) and I have a question regarding the start up procedure.
After using the electronic touch key on the immobilizer, I push the start button which brings to life the dash, then I have to press again to start the engine.
Turning off the engine seems normal, by pressing button once, just not sure on the start up.
This is not only my first ST, but my first push start vehicle.
Any input would be much appreciated.

clutch in push button and it should fire straight up, not 2 presses, however with my focus st i always press it twice, once for ignition to turn on for the gauge sweep (aftermarket gauges) then again to fire it up, if im in a rush then one press

As Kenny says, one press without the clutch down will switch ignition on and fuel, you might hear the fuel pump going if the door or window is open. If clutch is down you can just do it once
