Hi all I'm still about and checking in on here now and then, 10months retired now already !
Car is fine and running great but this year has developed a grinding noise, garage can't find anything and say could just be a dry bushing part. First noticed it when coming to a stop say at lights, knocking it out of gear as you do for the last few metres and crawling to a stop without braking, when coming to a stop if the road wasn't quite level and the car moved backwards a few inches this was when I first started to hear it, since seems to do it when engaging 1st gear and just moving off, only for a brief second then stops, not the clutch that is fine, like when the car is initally under load something is catching or rubbing, best way can describe noise is sounds bit like in your kitchen you have a cupboard with a few drawers and you open one and it catches the one below deep sound, at no other time do I hear it, cornering full steering lock heavy braking/reversing.
