Took my ST to the Nurburgring about a month ago (my net was down so i could'nt post then) and it was the most fun i have ever had in a car. Got a lap time of 10.30 min, i'm told that was quite respectable. Was gutted that i only over took a few cars, there were plenty of kitted out BMWs there which seem to pull away out of corners a lot lot faster than the ST. But i did beat a subaru impreza WRX STI. Has any one else been on the ring?

P.S. i have never felt my tyres and had them stick to my hand....

Not been on yet but I've wanted to go for a long time. I must admit I'm a little put off by the sheer length of the track as well as for the lack of space in case you go wide or loose it but defenetly something I'd like to try at least once. Post some pics if you have any...

Dont have any pics of my car, was busy snapping vipers and lambos. Its pretty wide, just be careful around corners as there are cars every where on some of em. i was really worried about bikers mainly. The length is a good part i thought, varies it up a lot.

I like to try one my car on a track on day, there a race track not far from I live but scare of crashing or crashing into someone else! like the nurbergring cos its the best track and not to expensive but probably getting over take by a white van!!

Same here you spend a lot of money on your car and dont want to trash it
Would love to take the ST round there when i get it but would probably need a new set of tyres when i got back cars costing me enough on mods and aint got it yet

Heres a view from a fiesta ST around Nürburgring - Fiesta ST He does'nt really thrash it but it migh give you an idea what its like.

you'll probably find he was going extremely quick. i got my mate to take a few videos and it does it no justice at all. At one point o was going just over 120mph and it looked like nothing.

Might be wrong, but I don't think the nurbergring is a track.... its a toll road ..... this of course means that unlike taking your car on a track day, you are still fully insured even if you do crash it

I know what your saying, i've taken many videos in my car and they don't look fast at speed...

The problem with that camera is it's not mounted and someone is holding it, so not as effective... much better when it's mounted to the car.

It's much better on country lanes as when you go around corners it shows the speed inwhich the corner is taken alot more.

I can't wait to go around that track in a Focus in 1 and a 1/2 years time.

Just got back this very day from a week over there.

wednesday was a top day mainly due to it being relativley dry (a little wet in places), quiet and allowed me to get to know the track quite well.

Ive taken loads of pics and a couple of videos, which ill do a ring report later, after ive had some sleep... those overnight ferrys are a bit rough at this time of year.

oh and best of all i can now do laps in the 9 minute 20's.
