much to the annoynacy of my mum and me, my dad had this mad theory/bad habit that the longer you left it before filling up the futher the petrol went!!!! having been stuck on several family trips without fuel I can safely say it dose not!!!

Theres a little bit of logic there.... the more miles you do on the tank of fuel, the car gets continually lighter, therefore giving an increased mpg...
Probably about a 0.0000001% mpg improvement, but its logical! Andy
