Its coming up to xmas and I'm starting to think what I could ask the jolly old man in the white beard for. If I was lucky enough to get some handling mods (Like ATB diff, 300mm brake conversion or strut brace etc etc) obviously I have to declare them to my insurance company, but what is the extra premium like? I'd like to think that because I'm improving the handling that my premium would go down, obviously insurance companys wont feel the same way.

would be. i think it may depend on who you are insured with,you will
be a s well asking them if they can give you an idea of the extra
premium up front as per mod you have done.

You might want to call your insurance company first as some dont let you mod the car in any way. I would be very surprised if your premium went down, as even if you put bigger brakes on the car which stop it quicker, the insurance company views it as you can drive faster and stop in the same distance etc. You might be able to put the mods on ur excess so the premium doesnt increase. Give them a quick call as all we can do is speculate on what they will do.

Agree with u Stuart! They think ur going to drive faster cos of those mods, insurance will always find a way of making u pay more!
