Yes it is always on at any speed. Try accelerating very hard from standstill and the wee light will be flashing away. I also know this from the ice last year, it kicks in right from the off.

Yes the ESP always work! if your try to accelerate in first gera the ESP flash and slow u down until u gain traction again.

Talking about ice... I went down my road and tried to stop at the end of the junction. Had all 4 wheels using the ABS, could feel them all trying to stop the car but it was still sliding. It is a very quiet road and nobody was there and i did stop at the line but still...

Just be careful as i was only going about 10mph!

Was there not a post on this board on how ESP works? I am sure it said it only works above 50kph. The orignal ABS systems also didn't work on slow speeds.

However I expect I drempt it.

No, it definately works at any speed, trust me I've had it for a year on my ST and it has worked below 50kmph many times (not that i am a bad/fast driver )

There is more about it all here:

Put simply, no unfortunately. If you want ESP then you HAVE to order it to be factory fitted at the start.

Do you think that we will see weather like this again, or has global warming taken its toll? I have never known it so warm at this time of the year!
