I've heard Toyos are good but they are on the soft side as they wear quickly.Anybody got these tyres??

Got toyos told me they were soft compound and therefore should wear quicker which should be true but it depend of your driving! if your driving flat out everywhere then yes but if you drive at normal speed most of the time you should keep them longer!
I find the solution of the problem drive very slowing in a corner and then flat out on a straight!!

I had toyos t1-s on my car. They were second hand with my wheels and had 6mm ish of tread. They lasted me 8000 miles but most of them were very tough on the tires. Most of the time it was driving like we did in newquay.

To give you a comparison on my car
Continential lasted 6000 miles
1st set of pirellis 8000 miles
I had a new set for 2000 miles and then changed the wheels.
Then the used toyos lasted 8000.

The new tread pattern t1-r has been built up more so they shold last last longer

when i had my 106 gti i put some yokohomas on the front cos they were they only ones that needed to be changed and the difference was unbelievable they were part of the road, trouble is they didnt last too long due to bein a race style tread n compound.

it depends on how u want your tyres to behave about compounds and treads i prefer really soft tyres for grip n change them quite often but i dont know how much tyres are gunna cost for 17"s

has anybody suffered any problems when changing their tyres?
I have just had all 4 changed and nearly lost control on a island, seems to have no grip, like driving on ice
