In my new car I have a aux point to apparently plug in an MP3 player or Ipod. I went to halfords today to purchase a lead that i can attach my MP3 player to this port. The guy at Halfords reakons there is no such cable and tried to sell me something that looked like an MP3 player for £39.99 arrggghhh I just want a lead can anybody shed some light on this for me and let me know if there is a lead and a way to plug my MP3 player into the aux plug in my car???????

All you need is a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack cable, just like a small headphones jack, but at both ends. You can pick them up in currys/comet/dixons sorta places. They will charge ya about £10 there, which is expensive, but it is a decent cable. For better value and/or quality go to somewhere like richer sounds, but the cheapest place will be on-line.

I bought my lead on ebay,like mase said you need a 3.5mm jack one end and a 3.5mm jack the other.Ithink i only paid about £5.00 tops with delivery.
