Do you have the recirc button on much?

If you do, in this cold weather, it will cause condensation from yourself as there is no fresh air entering the car, just your own breath being recirculated. .

I did this and could'nt explain the amount of condensation until someone told me.

If you turn the AC on at the same time the air is recirculated and "dried" at the same time and the fogging up should clear instantly.

Alternatively you can also stop breathing.

I have the same problem leave the car a work all day when i walk back to it at night the windows mainly the wind screen are misted up.start up switch on air con and they clear straight away.had same thing with old 1.4 zetec climate.I recon it's due to the air con unit holding moisture on it and in cold weather it causes the car to mist up every now and then turn the heater on hot and burt the moisture off.

Just to throw a banana into a veg basket here.

If i park my car infront of the house, then i generally don't get too bad condensation or ice cover... if i park it further away then it's covered.

The heat from the house can help with this.

Does your wife park closer?

I tested this sideways once and the window closest to the house was competely dry and clear, the other was iced up.

One day all cars will weight 2 tons and we will all have double glazing windows like Mercs that don't fog up!

Arrrgh... what a horrible thought... No thank you !

Then we will strip them down and make them lighter

Very strange .

Hang on! i've got it .

You got back home verrry late from your works christmas do in a very marinated state .
You grabed Misses Iceman and ordered her into the car to rekindle some much enjoyed youth , temperatures in your go sky high causing lots of condensation. You then retired to bed for a good nights sleep.

Upon waking the next morning you had a terrific headache thinking 'what happened last night,I CAN'T REMEMBER .'

Problem solved.

Whats wrong with a game of cards in your car? It rekindles youth and does make temperatures rise.
