Just picked up my ST today, have got the phone paired with the car but can't find any instructions on how the voice control works for controling phone c/control etc - can anyone enlighten me?!

And is the bluetooth connected with the head unit, apart from the phone button on it, so if it's replaced the phone won't work anymore?

If you press the mode button on the remote stalk and say "help" it will tell you what to do.
There was a scan of the manual on the site somwhere.

There should be a seperate handbook on the bluetooth operation in the pack in your glovebox.
If you change your head unit the bluetooth won't work any more

What headunit did you want to change to??
It will work with one of the SONY ones (Focus/Mondeo), provided you order the right one

Thats the thing, I have an alpine system waiting to go in, they will be doing a seperate bluetooth adaptor but it's another £200. If only the ford 6 cd head unit had pre-amp out's and I'd keep it!

Well if you do change and you want to sell me your Bluetooth module, let me know because if I don't change my car in March I am going to upgrade to Bluetooth myself.

I have seen Fiestas with them in.
Obviously the standard Fiesta speakers wouldn't be much cop with the Sony head unit

I've got the standard head unit and am running an amp off it with no problems. If you need further details on how its done let me know. I kept the original head unit because of the bluetooth too.

Did you use those converters that send the speaker output directly to the seperate amp? Did you find it a massive increase in sound quality - ie fidelity not just bass/loudness?
