Hi all, I am new in this forum. Just want to ask you a technical question. Having used to drive auto I forgot to depressed the clutch when I was about to shift my Fiesta manual gear to reverse. Of course I heard a grinding noise but as soon as I heard the noise I realized my mistake. The gear wasn't shifted and everything works normal. My question is: what's the chance I have done harm to my gearbox? Thanks.

If you've only done this once I'd say the chance you've damaged anything is next to none. Had it been a forward gear you might have damaged the syncro for that particular gear, and then again it still would require some violence but being reverse there isn't even a syncro to damage.
