Checked my tyre pressures last night for the first time. Was suprised to find them 4psi over pressure in the back, and 3psi over in the front. Reset the to the book numbers and it certainly has improved the ride a bit; quite suprising really. Any way, thought other owners out there may want to check there's to see if mine was a one off, or if they all come out of the factory set high.

Makes me realise that I've never checked the Mondeos - just always assumed they were set correctly. Might find my gauge and have a check.

My sisters new 1.4 flame came with the rear tyres 7psi over in the back and about the same in the front

We checked it the day after she got it so be careful!

Its a very good idea that is m8... but those tyres are pretty dan good and checking them once a month would be fine... iv got to check mine really... not done it in since well before X-mas >.<

I always check the tred and have a look at them every few days tho in fairness.

Are they immune to punctures and the tyre valves infallable?
Once a week is best, also it's amazing how just a psi or two can make a real difference to the handling.
