I am being served by Telewest, who are being merged at the moment, they tell me, with Virgin Media who i think are reconstructing sites.

Since they told me a couple of days ago i've been having freeze-ups all the time.

Is anyone else who have telewest been having this problem or is it down to the weather out of coincidence?

If it does continue i'll have to; but that incurres a call out visit, and we both work which in turn creates problems.

They verrry rarely come out at weekends. .

Hey Kev,

Could be down to a massive number of problems!!! I'd have a guess at the fact that they're obviously doing some maintenance on their network and backbone, so it might be a case of wait and see....

Do you use wireless? Something may be in the vicinity thats causing the wireless network some grief? I know a lot of routers and wireless modems have issues.

But at the same time, it could be down to a Fair Use Policy. Would you class yourself (or anyone else in the house that uses the internet) as a heavy user?

I am using ntlworld/viginmedia wireless on a Mac book Pro and have to say i have had no problems at all with the change over, touch wood. try re setting your modem and ur computer, run the clean up prog on ur PC (in control panel and performance and maintenance) then switch it all back on and see how it goes.

I had the same problem with "page cannot be displayed" using Internet Explorer. I use Mozilla Firefox to view the forum now. I find it alot better!!!
