Hi, been looking at this forum for a few weeks and it's been a big help in deciding what car to get. 2 weeks ago I bought a blue ST, a facelift 06 plate with Reflex pack, the better aircon, privacy glass and voice/bluetooth.

It's a lot of fun, behaves itself quite well in snow, and the kids love it too.

Looked at Mini Cooper (S too expensive) - nice car to drive but Linda Barker interior would drive you mad, and Suzuki Swift sport - more money for less car (not much discount to be had), and horrible hard plastic interior, so very happy with choice.

On the downside, no washer bottle low warning so had to drive yesterday on motorway with horrid white smeary windscreen.

Don't understand why everybody (not here) raves about Mini 'style'. All the dashboard except the tacho is impossible to look at without turning head. You can display speed in the little digital display, but it's like looking at an early calculator.

It was fine on Thursaday when they had it down south, but snowed hard on Friday. We're on a little country line which doesn't get gritted so lots of ABS and the skidding car light coming on and off. Had to abandon it at the bottom of the drive, and then next morning some b***** had knicked 2 of my wheel centres, so £12.50 each at the Ford dealer :-(
