Hi guys,

I may sound like an utter 'n00b' here, but theres a light on my dash for seatbelt warning indicator, but it doesn't do anything if I haven't got my seatbelt on! Is this normal? Does it only work on full leather or something?

I've got to take my ST in as the AUX socket has stopped working and the door needs sorting still, so I thought I might mention the seatbelt thing if it is spposed to work?

Cheers ears.

See the thread on auto locking mate.
Beltminder is not activated because the Fiesta does not meet Five star crash rating

Just seems odd that its there on the dials, if it was never going to be used in the first place!

It's on the cluster because it's mandatory in Japan

Strange one this, because it would cost nothing to do.

It's only a legal requirement to have working to acheive 5 star rating and it IS annoying so they've probably done us a favour actually.
We turn it off in the Focus instead of putting the belt on if you're just popping down the shops!!
