Hey all,

Found the website on a google search when doing some reading up about the new fiesta ST, lots of good information and things to look out for. My ST is on order and should be ready for the 1st of March. Gone for a black one with no stripes or anything, didnt want something that stood out too much.

Car history 950cc Fiesta (!! hehe), XR2, XR2i, Saxo VTR, Zafira, Skoda Octy VRS, Focus ST170 and now waiting on my new ST

Looked seriously at a Focus RS, but wanted something new that would have warrenty and I could keep for a while (and not worry too much about parking it! hehe)

Hi there Cron! We're due to get ours on the first of March (well, the second, 'cos my wife can't get away from work on the first ) and ours is black/no stripes too. Can't wait. I was *very* impressed by the test drive, and forgot about the other cars I was looking at - the Seat Ibiza FR and the VW Polo GTI.

Welcome to the site.
You won't be dissapointed with black.
I plan to just have some side stripes put back on mine as they do look a bit bare without them.

Hey all, thanks for the warm welcome

I decided I either wanted Silver or Black, and after seeing both in the "flesh" i went for the Silver.. then changed my mind and went for the black hehe. I agree about them looking a little bare without the stripes, but i think it still looks nice. The main reason i probably won't get the stripes is it is more likely to attract attention (bit worried about where I have to park it at work). Who knows though, maybe i'll change my mind and have them fitted later

Haven't had any options fitted as standard, the only thing I've ordered so far is a new set of Mcgard locking wheel nuts. Will need to sort out a set of mats too at some point.

As for the car itself, totally agree Andy. I tried a ton of different cars before deciding on the ST. Hated the vision on the new Seat Leon, Golf gave me back pain after a 20 minute drive, Mini Cooper S was a bit too small (although I did love it - i'm not in marketing thou.. hehe). For me the ST has all the best bits I loved about my ST170 without the crap bits (clunky gear box being the main point!). Dealer phoned me this morning and all is good for the 1st, I can't wait now.. very excited

Heres a couple of pics of my last couple of cars, I'll take some of the ST once I pick it up

Yeah BB, that was my Octavia VRS. When I first got it I loved it, but did fade after a while. Generally speaking a pretty good car, front end was a little too long for me, and the view out of the back window was quite poor (I never had any probs parking, but my wife hated driving it). The worst part though was the brakes. In the dry, spot on... in the wet though absolutely terrible.

Braking in the wet felt as if there was a second or so before they cut in. Often visited the Briskoda forums, and it seemed to be something to do with the car/design as I wasnt the only person who complained about the performance in the wet. Had them checked out by Skoda and was told there wasnt a problem.

Performance wise it was a fun drive, 1.8 turbo, pretty responsive and good handling but the niggly little things that i've mentioned kinda ruined it for me.
