Hi guys, n00b here.

I'd like to say congrats on a cool site, I'm surprised there's already so much enthusiasm about such a comparatively new car.

Anyways, I'm James and I live in Winchester, Hampshire, and currently drive an insurance-friendly 1.4l Peugeot 206. Here she is, she's been slightly modded with lowered suspension and a couple of engine mods, but I'm 26 so not your typical McDonald's-dwelling boy racer!



On to the important stuff, I'm looking to trade-up in the summer to something with a bit more grunt and the ST is pretty much at the top of my list. Current thinking is colorado red with the side strips only, but white with the full stripes is also tempting...

I've also been considering the likes of the Renault Clio Cup, Mini Cooper S and Peugeot 206 GTi 180 but insurance costs my rule most of these out. Interestingly, I've noticed that a lot of the magazine reviews I've read so far don't really rate the ST compared to the Clio and Mini, so I'd be interested to hear people's opinions about the ST compared to these. At the end of the day though, I'm not looking for the ultimate driver's car, I want something that's easy to live with on a daily basis but is good for a decent B-road thrash when I want one.

It sounds like the ST would be spot on for you, its far more civilised than the likes of the clio cup and yet it still provides great B-road performance when you need it. The cheaper insurance group and good looks seal the deal for me!
