I got my ST in August its a 55 plate, is there a way i can find out if this recall has already been carried out on it?

really simple recall takes a sec at most, basically comprises fitting a lil star clip on the end of the connecting rod to the clutch master cylinder

I had this issue on my last Fiesta, couple of years ago I was at the lights on the A406 - went into first gear and the clutch pedal just went - no tension at all. Stuck at the lights, cars beeping, had to push it to the side and call RAC.

Turned out the RAC guy knew exactly the problem and fixed it as he always does, putting a clip on the end of the clutch rod, stopping it falling out the ring. Was perfect since then, but even he said he's done loads of these clips to Fiestas (was an 02 reg)

I'm getting an ST 05 reg on Saturday, definetely checking it out for the clip.

Didn't you get a recall letter from fords...???? Got mine done from the recall.

no I only had the car about a month, being the second owner.

OK,well if it's from a dealer just make sure it's was done..

Hi all i just got me st 2 months ago it did not have the re call, were can i get the washer from as it keep slipping off

No idea if mine has had it done or not, but with the cars at the age they are, it will have either already been done or it was insignificant and never caused a problem otherwise a previous owner would have had it fixed.

Reading the thread it sounds line some kind of circlip or starlock washer on a pin on the clutch pedal, you could probably get these from any fastener supplier but failing that ford should have it, presumably will be about £5 for a washer from them
