Nice one, saved you abit of money there.

Ive just bought the ST mats that are black and have blue piping. They cost me 50 beer vouchers.

Lol Chuck @ Beer Vouchers.

Nice one whtfst that you found the real matts... thats excellent

When you get a car...

1. Take Dealer Stickers out
2. Take horrible mats now

I specially requested that my car does NOT have any dealership stickers or any advertising of any sort in it else i'd make them take them out before I accepted it... lol

But by law they do actually have to put the dealership name on the number plate.

No by law they have to put their special code that shows the plates are made by an approved person/company etc. Halfords told me they can make plate that have the code as a sort of hologram so it appears completely plain (just the letters & numbers etc) but still perfectly legal. How true this was I dont know.

Wasn't really talking about numberplates as you don't really notice the size 10 font when looking from 20 yards back. My current plate has no marks, only the big numbers and letters.

I was only talking about blatent advertising

I was referring to Stuart's post about them having to put the dealerships name on the plate by law. My understanding was the only legal requirement was the code aprroved plate makers have to put on.

When I got my car it had black backing plates with the dealership name on. That was the first thing I changed. When I get round to it I'll get some road legal plates put on with no mention of the dealership mine came from. They have their money!! That's more than enough!

Too right Pinky!!!

Yes there is a long code in the bottom right of the plate. That is the only number that is required as that notes who made it.

I've no advertising left on mine, the sticker was easy enough to take out, and I've since changed the tax disc and the number plates.

I know what you're all meaning about here, you're paying enough without giving free advertising to the dealership. There was a car delaership around here that always used to go even further and put a metal badge with their name on the back of the cars they sold; people who bought them should have told them to take it off and respray the boot before they accepted it.

The dealer sticker was out of the car after a couple of days! They are getting as least advertising as possible from me, especailly since I did'nt get a brilliant discount. I also thought it took up too much space also. I just need to get rid of the tax disc holder and the bit on the bottom of the number plate. I also got the same mats on thursday for 50 beer vouchers They did'nt come with the plastic holders so I got them thrown in for free after a little winge

My rear windscreen Allen Ford sticker and tax disc holder were gone within minutes of my ST being delivered

They even threw in an Allen Ford keyring with my spare keys too, lol
