Well folks, true to my word i have decided to sell the . I couldnt be bothered with all the hassles, rattles, lack of fuel ecomony and lack of 6th gear that the fiesta brough with it.

Got £10600 part ex for the car which i was more than happy with and have bought a Astra 1.9 CDTI SRI with leather, exterior pack in black. Was going to buy the Mondeo ST TDCI but couldnt bear to give any more money.

Will be sad to see the ST go but at the end of the day its been in the garage 13 times in 6 months to get work done on it. I'll post some pics of the new car when i get it.

£10600 sounds like a good part-ex price, what reg and spec is your ST?

All the best for your new car anyway! The new Astra does look nice, when will you be getting it?

I know you have had a lot of problems, sometimes a car can be unlucky for you. Hopefully you'll have much more luck with your next one!

Its on an 06 plate and i am the second owner. It has no options at all - just standard with stripes. Took a lot of negotiation but the p/ex price went up from £9000 to £10600 eventually.

Aye i suppose its a deisel but its better mpg and thats what swayed the deal - suppose each to their own. Having had a Fiat Punto i would never dream of getting one - even the Fiat mechanic once said to be that FIAT stands for 'Fix It Again Tomorrow'!

Forgot to answer this one - i get it in about a week - to be honest its still in Luton and i am in Newcastle. I have never even seen the car but seen ones like it. Its a 56 plate 1.9 CDTI SRI in black with the exterior pack (skirts all round, 18"wheels & twin pipe) with full leather, and cruise control. £10600 for the ST and they want £5k to swap. I think i got a bargain.

yep its the sports hatch with the exterior kit.

My dad has a Vectra 1.9 CDTI SRI too and you can feel the power. I reckon there is part of the acceleration range where the Vectra will faster than the ST - its also a much more comfortable ride.

yes It more confy but he also bought that sport suspension kit which stifer the suspension steering and sharper acceleration! the car feel more response! but the suspensions are so hard compared with the ST the ST feel very comfy when there on!!
