I've been lurking on here for the last couple of weeks since discovering the forums, as I've been mulling over getting an ST. It seems like a good friendly place from the outside looking in.

I've just turned 22 and currently own a year old facelift Black Zetec S but have always wanted an ST, although due to insurance/money am only just looking into getting one now.

Methinks this Saturday could possibly be order day.

hey Andy welcome to the site! ST is a good choice!! what specs and colour would u go for? agree with u about insurance so expensive for young driver!

I'm looking to go for Performance Blue with OTT and Side Stripes but as my post in the main forum shows I'm completely sure what else yet. Need some convincing!

I've always really liked the blue, but I have to say I've got a big soft spot for the way they look when they're like yours. Thing is, I'm ashamed to say, I just wouldn't be able to keep it clean enough if I had a frozen white one.

agree white always get dirty but I'm use to it as my previous car was white as well! Went for white because I though it did look so nice when I saw it on TV! but wasnt sure before was thinking between, red, blue and black! but went for white cos they not common over here!

Hello Andy! Get one, you know you want to! That's what everyone said to me when I joined. I came on here asking for advice in choosing between a Polo GTI, a SEAT Ibiza FR and the Fiesta . They persuaded me to arrange a test drive and that was it - game over! We now have a Panther Black ST sitting outside our house and every time I drive it I enjoy myself.

I'm still deliberating tonight so we shall see if I go for it or not. After visiting the dealer when my Dad ordered his new Focus last week, I'm told delivery could be a mere 2 weeks from order. Seems as if they've got a fair few ST's built, ready and waiting, including one built in December which is still hanging around!

First of all, Welcome to the site Andy.

Secondly, be carefull of the December built 's. From January '07 the Aux jack plug is fitted as standard, so if you go for pre '07 you have room for hagling on prices.
