Well we all know the estimates... Just Under 1 yr for the ST and 1-2 Yrs for the RS...

Are u setting a certain amount aside each week/month towards buying it?

I have a very big Glass Beer Jar... i mean its 2 foot!!!

I add all my pennies to it as if i save notes i always spend them or if i leave it in the bank i will use it...

I convert all my cash into 50p or less... I managed to Add over £50 into the Jar this month and im really happy with that as it will go towards my deposite on the RS

I hope i keep going at this rate... im getting another job in the summer and im going to work my @ss off and save it all... could maybe get another Grand to add to my Savings account which will really help to bring the overall price down that i have to give my dad eventually!!!

What are u all doing and how?

I'm selling my KA and smoking around in an old Granada so that it's do-able.
I am however being very stongly lured though by a Civic Type-R and 5%apr having just taken my mates one out for a spin.

Yes the Civic Type R's are cheap and may have a good finance deal on them but m8... each time i look at one i just realise how old there begging to look and how many i see around now... they arn't eye catching any more and will really not appeal to anyone soon...

The Fiesta RS will turn heads everywhere and the Cosworth... well... pplz mouths will drop as that goes past!!!

You're not wrong, the styling is not to my exact taste but in black it does look pretty sexy from most angles.

It can be chipped to 230bhp though without affecting the warranty and they don't mind an exhaust and induction kit being fitted on top of that! I drove a standard one and was so impressed. I didn't quite like the rake of the front window or the never ending feeling of the dash, but when you start to drive it none of that matters. The brakes and driving position and the growl of the VTEC are just something to behold.

Here's a claim though - for a normally aspirated lump pushing out 200-230bhp in standard trim they Honda have never had a VTEC engine fail. That's mental.

I am sorely tempted, especially as they don't seem to understand the rules of depreciation. My dream car at the moment is a Mk1 Elise in Metallic Green, cream leather with the 2.0 VTEC engine fitted. [drool]

I cannot believe we have no drool smilie.... I shall fix that later today.
