I was thinking of having my windows tinted (just the back 3) but the the places ive had quotes from have all been around the £250 mark. Is this a bit steep or is that what i should be looking at paying?? Wish id had it done when i got the car!

Hi Lisa,

£250 Seems pricey for just getting the 3 back windows tinted. I had mine done for £120 at National Windscreens. Top job, completely flawless

The privacy glass is dipped glass (whatever the heck that means) not glass with a tinted film over it.

Ive just found a National Windscreens near you.

National Windscreens
Unit 4
Aintree Court
Hunslet Business Park
National Road
Leeds
LS10 1TL

0113 2721321

http://www.nationalwindscreens.co.uk/branchDetail.asp?pgStatus=postCode

Im not sure exactly what the shade is. All i know is its 3 tints below limo black & the tint they used is made by Solar Gard. I asked for mine to be close to the factory tint as possible

Just found my reciept: HP charcoal 22HCX3 is the grade of tint on my 3 windows

Closest to standard factory, No problems with seeing out the back window when its dark & not to light in the day time

Hope this helps

Hi Lisa,

a lot of dealers will use mobile tinters to do the windows of thier cars if someone wants it done when its sold and doesnt already have it. Might be worth talking to your local ford dealer to ask if they use anyone like this. That way they may honour your warranty if anything was to go wrong with the window catches etc. Might be worth a go.

dont get ur windows done by a mobile tinter if u havnt had them done already...go 2 a place where they have a dust free environment, i know a good place in london if u ever come down this way...always better to pay that bit more and get the job done properly

Does anyone know if you can tint the front two windows if you already have the privacy glass? If so, how dark can you go legally??
