Hello

Does anyone know the size in litres of the fuel tank on the st. Trying to work out how much it will cost me as I do 300-400 miles a week.
Cheers

Alex

You should be able to squeeze 42litres in. Expect between 26-33mpg depending on how you drive.

Ignore the first 3-5 tanks, as you run the car in and the engine does it's initial loosening the figures are always poo.

Cheers Hugh, worked out its gonna cost me around 40 quid a week in petrol. Oh well, driving that much will give me lots of fun in the st just got to wait for the price on broadspeed to drop again, as yesterday it was 10300, now its back up to 11706.

I am sending about £34.50 each time I fill up wihich is just over 41 litres. From this I am getting about 275 miles on average. So this equates to just over 30mpg.

This is a mixture of slow town driving and fast open road so should give a good all round figure.

Motorway driving at a steady 4000rpm seems to give a similar return also.

Just posted on another topic that my consumption has gone up from 25 to 26.5 for very similar driving.

Yesterday was my first time on the motorway so will be interesting to see what I get out of my third tank. I did about 75 miles varrying the revs between 3000 and 4000 rpm. It was bloody hard work!!

I hate running in cars!

My light came on at about 37 litres and I think the tank holds 45 litres. So you should have at least 30 miles to go!!
