This is my first post although I have been reading the posts on this forum for ages.

I ordered my ST yesterday from a local dealer and I'm picking it up next week. Like loads of other people on this forum I was looking at getting it through either Broadspeed or allbrandsnew.

I had a quote from allbrandsnew and was just about to buy it from them when I thought it would be a good laugh to phone the dealer and let them know how much I was getting it for. I had been in previously and they were advertising it for £13595. His exact reply was 'F*****g Hell'. Anyway he phoned me back an hour later and offered to match the price .

So I'm picking up a brand new ST next week for £11495 OTR with metallic paint and mats.

The dealer is now offering ST's at the same price. They didnt know they could sell them at that price and said £13595 was 'far too expensive' for this car.

Hi and welcome to the site. Thats great news that the dealer matched the price. I'm sure u'll have a great time driing it. Remember to post some pictures of the car when u get it. Wot colour did u go for? Any questions just ask as i'm sure there are many people on this forum who will be willing to answer them.

I went for silver for a couple of reasons. Firstly I liked the look of the silver one in the showroom and secondly any other colour would have meant a huge wait.

The dealer is Arnold Clark, the biggest car dealer in Scotland. I was sure the salesman mentioned something about Ford reducing the price, so it may apply to other dealers as well, although I'm not sure. Something must have changed though because they've gone from advertising them at £13595 one day to £11495 the next.

I gave them a ring, well there aberdeen branch as that was the first on the list, and they said they wouldnt be able to go that low. Told them about your ST and then spoke to a more senior sales person and he said he would look into it and ring me back tomorrow. (fingers crossed) whcih branch of arnold clark did you get it from, cos there is like 8 of them

Cheers mate you've been a star. I like the idea of getting an ST in Scotland as i think the ST registration is from up that way.

Jeez, that's a well good price for a brand new one from a dealer (particularly without Privilege discount). I'm paying £11,200 from allbrandsnew for a pre-registered red one with no options. I did mention this price to my local dealer (Hendy Ford) but he openly said he could get nowhere near. If he could've offered me the same price then I would've gone with it, but if he's not prepared to offer this straight away without me having to go round the houses first then its his loss. Good work though, I bet anyone looking to order one in Scotland is well chuffed!
