Hi
Ive posted this in the noobs forum but thought i'd ask here just incase any of the more frequent posters dont look there. I've just brought my 2007 Fiesta ST and have 2 really quick questions.

1) i've paired my mobile with the car and can recieve calls finer but how do you make calls from the car, is this possible or do you have to use the phone itself to start the call. I've had a look at the menu but im at a loss.

2) The car doesnt have a mp3 socket like many of them do, the stereo has an aux button buit no connection for my ipod etc. Can this be added and roughly how much would it cost me.

Thanks in advance
Ben

Hi Ben.

Not sure on the first question but I do know the second.

If your radio is the 6006, then it has a spare socket at the back for a special cable Ford make. It costs about £8.00 and connects to the back of your radio and the other end is a female headphone jack. This is supposed to be fitted next to the gear lever (requires drilling) but I have wedged it at the side of the centre compartment. Indeed, it runs to the AUX setting and it has made me very happy!!!

In responce to the first question, i think you have to set your phone up so it can use voice activated dialing. i dont have this but know someone who does and im sure this is how they did it

Hope that helps

If your ST was built on or after January 2007, and doesn't have the MP3 connection, you should take it to your dealer and get them to fit it free of charge - as the MP3 socket is standard on any STs built after this date.

cheers guys, was having a play and found the mode button on the remote, my phoine now works propperly althopugh the women next door thinks im mad as she hears me talking to my car. Apperntly my car was made in March 2007 and the dealer is having it back next week to add the mp3 socket for a few pounds, he said under a £25 and i can live with that but i will mention the comments about being standard.

Well ive had my ST for 24 hours and done a crazy 10 miles and i love it.
