I've been on the phone to allbrandsnew to see what was happening delivery-wise, only to be told that my car (Colorado Red, no options) is still about 9 weeks off.

However...

They have a Colorado Red with leather interior available (plus some other colours) and I could collect in a week or so. I just don't think I can justify the extra £925, particularly as the standard interior is part leather anyway.

I've got some serious thinking to do...

I dont think I would have gone for full leather anyway even if I had won the lottery and could afford it *lol* I kinda like the added colour splash of blue or red *nods* However I can see why you are tempted after having waited 2 months for mine!

You're right about the interior, the full leather does make the cabin seem a bit dull whereas the coloured inserts brighten it up quite a lot. Still, heated leather seats... mmmm!

Its annoying really, I had my loan money through the other day and spent a roughly similar amount to the cost of the leather on paying off my credit card. I think I'll wait though and go with the normal interior, the 2 months will hopefully go fairly quickly.

Sounds remarkably convenient from allbrandsnew to me. We don't still have the one you want, but for another £900+ you can have something in a week.

Wait the two months and save a little money to build a reserve to cover tyres and other future consumables.

If you want leather then go for it, if not fussed then don't. IMHO. I prefer part leather myself.

I think I'm going to try and beat them down on the price and if we can come to some agreement then I'll go for it. I can afford up to another £500 which would be worth it in the long run. I know what you mean though spoon1, it was remarkably convenient, the woman went away for 5 minutes then came back saying "I've got good news..."

Greasemonkey - its been on order for 3 weeks now so I'm not that far in to my estimated 10-12 week wait. I think the leather looks good, there's a show car at my local dealer with it and it seems to be of a decent quality. I'll see what they can do.

Yeah, i didnt mean it was of poor quality or anything, i just find the leather not to be very soft or supportive, but I suppose the ST will probly have different seats anyway, so what am i talking about!!!????

I know what you mean, and I also tend to think that leather interiors in small cars often look a bit out of place. That said, the ST seats (which I guess are different to the ones in the Flame) do look mighty tempting in full leather and they look the business too, they give the leather Recaros that my mate's got in his Alfa 147 a good run for their money!

You sound tempted then? You gonna go for it, what you been able to do about the price yet? If it beats the wait and its what you want its gotta be worth it! Especially if you can get a good deal on it.

Ok, so they'll do me the full leather for the price that I was hoping for!

Still up to two weeks before I can pick it up though...

Either way, the dilemma is sorted.

When and where is it again? I'm not massively into the "scene" (if you get what I mean) but I've been to the last couple of French Car Shows as a spectator rather than an exhibitor. I've read through the other thread and it seems like I've missed the boat to get on the stand anyway. I'm looking to sign up on rsstoc once I've got the car anyway, seems like a lot of members of this site are on there too.

*hehehe* I'm not into "the scene" either but I'm an owner member of RSSTOC.com and fancy a giggle. My car and I (along with 39 others) will be on the RSSTOC.com stand! Its on 15th May in Kettering at Wicksteed Park. Starts at 9.30am and ends at 4.30pm. Gowaaannnn... come along
