oh and it came with a free cold air feed which was nice in like a metal foil with an end to it. unfortunatley you cant remove the airbox with this one i dont think..woill right up my results and do some sound tests soon.....now im off to bed nighty night

Can you not just get a breather filter so you can remove the airbox?

I installed my K&N57i last night, and couldn't figure out why the instructions told me to put the airbob nack on again at the end when it's got a breather pipe to the cone. I put it back on anyway, for cosmetic reason only.

Your cone certainly looks significantly larger than the K&N...

ahh yeah maybe its just there is a bit for a pipe coming off the 57i or so i noticed, on this filter there is not. so i thought that means i cannot remove the airbox.

Yeah, that's just the breather pipe... used for when the car is idling as the butterfly in the Throttle Body is closed at idle.

You can get a crankcase filter for that breather mate... if you want to.

yes with a breath pipe they wont be any problem

good good effects on performance minimal?

No performance effects for just the crankase filter. Like I said, it's for air source when at idle. I suppose, you lose 1 or 2 kg by dumping the Airbox (it does have some weight in it)... but that would be about it.
