Well has anyone seen the new Fast Ford magazine??

Pumabuild have transplanted a nice big 2.3 litre engine into the ST, tuned it up to over 200bhp and it will go from 0-60 in 6.4 seconds - how cool is that !!

I can;t remember the exact details but they reckon it will cost about £2.5k for the main part, and a bit more for the cosworth pistons, so it sounds like a (relatively) achievable way of getting some serious performance from the little ST for those who want to beat the Focus ST, CTR etc

I would love to, but no cash unfortunately!!

yes heard about it! but over could never do it!! they would see the engine is not the same as the original one and have lots of trouble! for me its better to keep the ST engine and tweak it! less easy to find its been mods!

I posted about 2.3L engine conversions ages ago!! lol Quite a few people are going this route but in my opinion I'd rather spend the £13K + £2.5K and get something bigger, better and much faster!

Surely you could get the 2.0 to perform that well for less money??

£3k for 1.5 seconds 0-60 and an extra 60BHP??

Then there's the extra money that they haven't mentioned that you'd have to spend on the brakes,gearbox/clutch and suspension to get it to handle the power

Buy a Focus ST, then tune that

yes think the same rather have like an focus ST really for that price! faster and bigger and more comfy as well!
