I currently have a c2 vtr which iam changing this weekend to either a fiesta st 06 for 10 grand or a siat ibiza fr 1.8t 06 again ten grand. My question is what difference will there be between the c2 and st and why should i choose the st over the ibiza . will it hold the value better and what should i look out for when test driving and looking at the st

the ST is a bit faster than the C2 and also handle better and bigger, more roomy and well equipe! The seat is a bit faster as the ST but not by much! but the Seat have a turbo engine so better low torque! but the handling is not compared to the ST or VTS! as for value don't thin there much difference! as for what to look for when test drive car tyre wear could be sometime a problem but rare and some have starting problem! other than that there nothing really to look out for just like any other car! as for looks if u want something eyes catching the ST is the car for u!! especially with the Stripes!!

Agree with bbyboom, it really depends whether it matters which is quicker? The ST looks better in my opinion and is generally a better build. I don't think there's going to be much difference in depreciation.

One thing to note, is that you can get a brand new ST for £10700, or £11000 with metallic paint.

Course if you don't want to wait I can see its a choice between those two, I would recommend the ST, but I am biased as I have one If I'd wanted the Seat I'd have got one...

Sorry mate choice is yours, take them for a test drive, think you will find Fiesta handles better

Hope to see some pics of your ST soon

The C2 isn't much slower the the ST and for the price its a good little car with a 20,000 mile.... yes, 20,000 mile service interval to not worry about.

Is the ST better - yes, its bigger, faster (just) and nicer inside and (sorry in advance for any saxo drivers) doesn't have the chav image that I link to Citroen's hot hatches. I would have probably gone for the Citroen if it actually had a boot as its cheaper to buy, run and insure.

As for the Seat, I hear they're a good car but I've never driven one.

Arden Garages Ltd - Stratford Upon Avon and only because i told the guy i was going to get one from newcastle which i was for £11165 and the man was like ok i'll beat it by £15 and I dont have to go to newcastle for my car which I'm happy about plus before I got it that cheap he wanted to charge me £12300 so it fact he dropped the price by like £1150 which is brillant
