I am now the proud owner of a K&N57i and a flexi from pumaspeed. Well, sort of. They are at my girlfriends house waiting for me when i go there next week.
Aparently they are both very easy to fit??? I've seen the HOW TO posts for the filter and it looks a doddle, what about the flexi??? I've heard rumours of snapping bolts and awkward to get at etc etc???
Any how too guides or words of wisdom would be much appreciated.
Cheers peeps

Yeh my manifold bolts snapped and it took the company who fitted it a couple of days to sort it out. Just go easy I think is the best advice

I'm sure there are other people on here who can give some slightly more useful advice

Spray the bolts every night once the car has cooled then when you come to remove them they will just undo piece of p***.

You'll need a new gasket for the flexi to the exhaust from Ford, they're only cheap

Sorry to sound thick!

But are the flexi pipe bolts easy to get to?
Got my flexi pipe coming tomorrow with powertec induction kit
& wanted to give the bolts a good spraying as advised.
Cheers

if u get the front end of the car high enough, then u can see how easy the flexi is to get to, nice and each mod to do tbh

the flexi is very easy to replace first unclip the thermostat thats connected to it,its at the rear of the engine, then undo the bolts from the manifold end then undo the the bolts from the exhaust, wiggle out through the front way then sit beside the new flexi and remove the rest of the thermostat with a spanner and redo onto the new flexi and refit the same only thing is you will need 2 new nuts and bolts for the new flexi as the old one had fixed bolts there...hth i bought the exact same as you and it took me twenty minutes start to finnish, remember 2 axle stands as well get the front end up to let you into see what your doing...
