Got a mate who's just bought an iPod. Very very neat piece of kit. But it would be nice to have it in car. There are some fiddly workarounds but wouldn't it be great if you could swap the CD player for an mp3 head. Sadly the car industry doesn't seem to have caught on yet to the music media revolution.

What would you fancy on your options list?

I want to have a big stereo install again, I miss the sound. I have the loudest wardrobe in Rugby, but have no car to fit the equipment in.

My only add-ons would be DVD & screen (although that's be more for the Mrs), the rest of the stuff I have!

You can get hard-drive Kenwood heat units, the alternative is that your mate gets some RCA's 2 phono jack and plugs those into the input of a higherspec headunit, et voila! iPod in-car.

I'd like to see climate control, trip computer... but the kit doesn't really interest me that much. A nice powerful engine and playful handling would do the trick for me.

Oh, I was only thinking about A/V stuff.

In that case, options I would like to see (on a turbo'd car) are:
- anti-lag
- modifiable fuel injection mapping (so I can make it nice and torque'y or a redline screamer)
- adjustable suspension
- switchable normal/power assissted steering
- adjustable exhaust volume/note
- Straight cut gearbox (except in 5 & 6th!)
- cruise control (my granada has it and it's awesome!)

I'd like the car to be able to change colour to whatever I fancy, I'd also like it to have a passenger control so I can make Hugh drive slower.

a cup holder... will be gutted if it aint got one (Oh and the right size to hold a Macy D's medium to large cup)

On a more serious note (kinda):

erm... for me, because I enjoy modifying cars, I would like Ford to actually produce cosmetic parts such as smoked rear lights etc and perhaps some internal features at additonal costs (however we all know in reality this wont happen)

Having just driven from Oxford to Newcastle and back this weekend I'll second that! It would be a great toy. Along with some trip computery thing that can tell me why I used nigh on a tank full going up and only 3/4 of a tank coming back

When you're going down hill you use less fuel than when you go up! You probably rolled most of the way back!

Mad max style supercharger, that you can engage by flicking a lever!

Mind you, we'd all probably leave it switched on all the time.
