Hi all, ive just recieved an armrest that i ordered from tts, the instructions that came with it are awful, is there anywhere or anyone who can give me some guidance on how to fit it, as i dont even have a clue how to remove the handbreak cover.

The handbrake cover just pulls straight off, its only clipped in 2 places.

thats the same as the one i have which I got on a group buy from FFSTOC .... I like mine but you will find the handbrake harder to use with it in and I know a few on here were not keen but I find it very handy when stuck in rush hour traffic which I am most mornings (oh how I love the M62 at 8am!)

so what exactly is awkward about it?

i can see how the arm rest gets in the way, but i've heard mixed responses to this.

Can someone give a proper account of their experience, as i am really interested in getting one of these for my car.

Surely the arm 'rest' is solely for motorway journeys and the like, when the rest can be put down for comfort purposes as the handbrake is less likely to be used.During town driving etc. when the handbrake is in constant use the armrest should be raised. Right or Wrong ?
Thats providing you have purchased the hinged type of course.

as pink rose said, the cover is just 2 clips, just pull it up and back and should just come out. Just wondering why do you want a arm rest?

I find it gets in the way only because | am a large person and my arms are like an ape I find with it down you have to reach over to the passgeners seat to operate the handbrake and with it up my arm still catches it so basicly I keep mine down all the time....I find it comfortable to rest on and the extra storage handy for bits and bobs

as above yes your right folded up except when on a long jorney on the Mway or stuck in slow traffic is a good plan but due to my ape like arms I catch it when hinged up so end up keeping it down and addapting how i use the handbrake.....with shorter arms this may well not be an issue
