It was an amazing day, and I really hope that we can add to it. Before the Olympica I thought it would be a tough ask to get near what we achieved four years ago but I'm really confident that we can exceed our medal haul from Beijing now

Quote:

TGB scored one penalty then missed another 4mins later, Ramsey taking them for some reason

1-1 at half time

Japan, Mexico & Brazil are into the Semi Finals, the winner of our game will play Brazil

Would have to be on penalties that we went out! They've done ok though, although Pearce has admitted that it's unlikely that we'll see a GB football team in the Olympics again as there simply wouldn't be time to fit in the qualifiers. That is of course assuming there IS such a place as Great Britain in four years time - Alex Salmond has been trying to score cheap political points this week by banging on that this will be the last Olympics we'll see Scottish sportsmen representing GB.
