Agreed definitely. The 1.6 turbocharged engine to me indicates something a bit more powerful than present, say around 170bhp. This would be a good compromise between having it powerful enough that Ford aren't being left behind, and still being insurable as a mainstream model that would sell loads.
If they were to ever produce a Fiesta with 200bhp it would be on an RS only, but at the present time I can't see them doing that.
What has to remembered also is that rightly or wrongly - and in my opinion they got it wrong here - was that Ford felt not too long ago that something in the range 180-200bhp in the shape of the Fiesta RS wouldn't have sold enough to justify the expenditure. Whilst I disagreed with them on this and felt that there were many strong arguments in going ahead with the Fiesta RS, bearing that in mind there's no way that they would then produce a model that powerful that they're expecting to be mainstream.
