I don't think it helps either that Ford are losing money hand over fist, and maybe they feel that they don't want to risk entering a car into the market for it lose them money. At the end of the day that is all they are trying to do - make money. And if a limited run of RS cars doesn't do that then they have no reason to release it.
As we all know from Ford's dealers and their customer service, what the consumer wants doesn't necessarily come into it.
I for one would love them to release an RS Fiesta. I think an RS Fiesta would fit into the market well as the Focus ST is pretty much up there with the likes of the Golf GTI however, Ford at the moment, don't have anything to rival such cars as the new Corsa VXR. Therefore, a Fiesta RS of the kind that they talked about would fit well into that area of the market. And like you say Chris, the RS is a very well known and reputable brand, and I'm sure that the people who have placed orders for the Corsa may well have chosen the Fiesta instead.
