now that the weather is getting damper I'm finding the standard Pirrelli P0 lacking any grip when wanting to accelerate from start, my car is new from June, done around 1800 miles only, are they worn in yet ? I drive fairly steadily. Anyone tried different tyres and found any better ones ? Seem fine in the dry.

Yep i have the same problem with the p-zero's, going to try toyo's next , they seem to have high praise for these tyres.

I'll second that, I've had Toyo's on mine for several months now and found them to grip a lot better than the Pirellis.

i know exactly what you mean! i had a sprinter 5 years ago and it was a fast van but very unstable over 60mph i never felt safe on the motorway

There will be a new one coming out, but it's still a little way off. The new Fiesta itself won't be out until late next year, and although it's been said that the ST would be out "soon" after, I wouldn't expect it until Spring 2009.

Here's a link to that article you're on about:

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/spyshots/212778/ford_fiesta.html

As to how it looks, I think it looks ok, and from those pictures the 5 door looks simply like the 3 door with more doors rather than that one that was posted earlier this week here, which looked awful:

http://www.leftlanenews.com/ford-verve-sedan.html

Worryingly it sounds like they could be changing their mind yet again on the name. I hope not, apart from anything else would cause a big headache for this site if the name were to change from Fiesta.
