Hi, I said I'd let you know what it was like - its running tomorrow also if you want to go (sunday 31/07).

If you are anywhere near, you should DEFINITELY go. They had:

1.) Sexy girls.
2.) The Fiesta ST and the rest of the range like any showroom
3.) The NEW FOCUS ST - only one in Europe the girlie said.. (looks GREAT in & out)
4.) Then there is like a show bit in a cordoned off bit of the car park - with seating etc etc - they had the:

Escort Mexico
The RS200
Escort Cosworth
AND x2 of the current year full spec'd WRC cars - which do 0/60 in 2.8 seconds..

They were doing allsorts - donuts etc etc - EXCELLENT !

Also they had some ST Fiesta's doing stunts, inc driving on 2 wheels, paralell parking using the handbrake at speed and just general autocar demo driving.

Starts at 12, runs until 5 - shows every er.. hour and a half I think.

Not long got back from going down myself.

It was quite fun for a half hour or so, not masses of stuff happening, but managed to get a few pics of some of the cars on display. A few STs were there in some of the less common colours, black with white stripes, silver with blue stripes and, of course, the gorgeous Focus ST (really want one...). Few pics below:





As Chris said above, they also had Paul Swift doing some stunt driving in a couple of Fiesta STs. They had Zetec S alloys on for some reason, perhaps they didn't want to ruin a load of P-Zeros...! Most of you have probably seen a Russ or Paul Swift show before so you know what to expect, but it was the usual array of handbrake turns, J-turns, that sort of thing. Got a few pics below.





He also had a modified ST which allowed him to go up on two wheels, with 4 other people in the car! Got a brief video of it on my digicam, am trying to find a decent site to upload it to. Its 11mb though, which is too big for most free hosting sites...

Thanks for those pics chris. I noticed you'd got a couple of the silver striped st which I hadn't seen before, it looks quite nice.

I didn't see them driving the WRC cars, I think I'd got down too late as I noticed they were loading them back on the trailer.

They did some stupid thing were members of the audience got to drive round a slalom course in Zetec S' trying not to spill a big bowl of water attached to the roof...

oh right, it sounds like it was a slightly diff show to the one i saw - there was no 'bowl of water' game - it was all pretty good stuff. they had x2 current year WRC Focus' and they were doing donuts and allsorts - absolutely amazing car control - and sounded soooo good, im now REALLY looking forward to the WRC in sept!!!

them zetec-s alloys do not siut the ST at all, they look awful, i would of liked to come but i was working nights

yeh they did look a bit pants! they reckoned they put them and the "higher" profile wheels on cos the carpark area was so grippy and they had to add pressure to the tyres to help aid the stunts. was cool to watch! especially the WRC cars. they were the DOGZ

Hey evedrybody, I caught the back end of one of the shows on saturday after making a trip to Southampton (My soon to be new home), but I missed the WRC, cossie, rs200 and JWRC cars. Saw the ST's though. The water bowl thing in the zetec s's were between shows, for members of the audience to participate in. Got a few pics of the diff-locked ST on 2 wheels, should post at some point. It had Focus wheels on it with large profile tyres. These tyres would have had high pressures due to the fact the sidewalls have to support so much weight. Was very cool. I am just dissapointed i missed the rally cars ( I could here them wrapping up as I parked up :-(
