Calling all ST drivers who live in Manchester ..... I am currently looking around for insurance before mine runs out at the end of December and I am having a terrible time. My postcode is M15 and my current insurer will not reinsure me because of the postcode and the cheapest other quote I can find is £750!! This is crazy, I paid £380 last year and I now have 9 years NCB and am 32 years old ..... this can't be right surely??!!! The car is in a secure underground parking lot and its like fort knox down there!!! Anyone got any ideas where I should be looking for insurance?? Thanks in advance ....

Didn't know people in Manchester bothered with insurance But yes insurance has doubled for alot of people, so I'm not surprised by it tbh

With prices like this I am not surprised!
Unfortunately that's why so many dont as the fine is less than the insurance!
Have you tried the brookers such as
Adrian Flux http://www.adrianflux.co.uk
and Chris Knott? http://www.ckinsurance.co.uk

The problem being that the insurance companies aren't making much money so have raised the premiums they are set to double next year
Theres too many people claiming for whip lash etc

Well its what I've been reading elsewhere, not sure where exactly, but everyone should be prepared for a big hike in premiums, just keep a check on them every now and again to see what it will cost you
