I have never been below 34mpg on my and I've had it now for 9 months.

Blimey .... and I guess you give it some beans from time to time?

Also, high 40's when cruising along sounds pretty impressive.

Thanks.

Every now and again

The will put a smile on your face for sure. It just comes with a higher price tag with insurance, tax, fuel, tyres, parts. Everything is more expensive but takes no special requirements over driving your 1.25 fiesta and services are exactly the same.

If you've got the spare cash... go for it. You won't regret it.

Thanks guys. So, anywhere between 28 and 40 mpg. Fair enough, seems a wide gap due to different driving styles and how much thrashing you do? As long as its not another £30 a week in fuel, that's fine.

I read above that the servicing is the same intervals for my 1.25, which is evry 9 months due to 20,000 per annum. Nothing else that's needed servicing an ST?

Also, will it be worth anything after 2 years and 40,000 miles plus whatever was on there before?

i got mine for £6000 2 years ago and it had 41k on it, it now has 70k and is worth about 3500-4000 but the ST prices have crashed recently so your buying at the right time!

The first two services are normal servcies with the third one a major service. The only other thing to make sure of is that you get the paint inspected at the same time, and the book is stamped to say that this has been done. This is to ensure that the anti-rust warranty (which I think is for twelve years) remains valid.

Thanks for the mileage question answered, and that ST prices have taken a hammering lately (sorry guys!!!)

p.s. Dan the man, 15.4 seconds is damn quick for a 1/4 mile!!

p.p.s. Good point about the bodywork... will look out for this, ta.
