My was sat in the car park at work, minding it's own business, when a french articulated lorry driver decided to reverse into it. Not content with that, he decided to push it 3 feet backwards and up onto the bumper of the Audi parked behind me.
My car: Both bumpers, head light, front wing, front grille, front impact damper, rear crossmember, and possibly the bonnet.
The Audi: Cracked number plate.
I hope the details he gave me are correct.

I've phoned him company, and given his reg, and they've given me the same name as he did. They said if I fax a quote they will send it to their insurance company to sort out. I hope the alnguage thing doesn't complicate things.

Just get them to get your car fixed but tell them beforehand that your not giving them any excess as it's not your fault as the car was parked. That will make them hurry up to get the money off the other's insurance. And get them to agree that it won't go down as a fault claim

yes thats a old story!! cant understand is not done yet! say that a friend of mine got hit by a Taxi driver and damage all the side of her Micra now its fixed but still fight against the driver cos he doesn't response to any letters!
Good luck mate and keep chasing your insurance company! My girlfriend got bumped by a lorry whilst she was parked. Being the div she is, she and the driver looked at the point of impact and decided there wasn't any damage but exchanged number plates just in case(thankfully!). When she got home i inspected the car and saw that the indicator was cracked and the bumper was scuffed...derrr. c£350 worth of damage!!
Anyway, to cut along story short- dont ever use EGG insurance as they are pathetic, their lack of customer care is astonishing and they constantly failed to chase the 3rd party for the money. Over 12 months later the GF gets a letter through the door telling her that the offending lorry's owners have gone into liquidation and she wont be getting paid out for the damage. Lesson learnt. Always get the other persons full details, take pictures of the incident no matter how small it may see at first glance.
