Apologies if this has been asked/discussed before had a look couldn't find it. Look g at upgrading to 60mm throttle body as found 1 for £50 seemed good price. Will the car need tuning or ecu looking at if just simply plonked on or does it car need mapping to really have any effect to the car cheers in advance lads

I would do it, most fast 2.0 have 60+mm throttle bodies. It might need a tune though..

Is that for a Ford one? They were going for silly money for a while.
I heard of some people having problems with cheap non-Ford ones, causing a drain on the battery etc.
But for £50 it could be worth a punt

Because the Ford ones were getting so pricey there's a guy on eBay who will bore out your original one to 60mm and fit a new butterfly for about £100, which is what I had done a few years ago. The gearing in mine that I had machined has recently become quite noisy though although that could just be wear and unrelated.
(Never mind, I just looked - it seems he's doubled his price since then)

To be honest though I noticed no difference in how the car feels when swapping back to a 55mm one.

Ahh shame doesn't feel such a difference but I think for experimental purposes and £50 I'll give it a bash and keep the original as that one works fine. You are right right Jimmy it is not a ford one and saw one on ebay for £600 which he must be having a laugh. I do think I'll get it and fit just before I get it tuned later in the year just on safe side however.

Nice shiny new TB! I think the air filter and TB upgrades were the best upgrades I ever made to my ST150.

I'm happy with it so far we like shiny and new. Had mine for 3 months managed to do sports cat exhaust system induction kit tb and lowered it. Just want to tune and do cams now really and probably wise to upgrade my brakes ha. I see you have the 180 now I'd love one of them too but bit too many £s to get away with the wife happy
