I agree Adam, it seems a bit gimmicky for me. I'm sure someone will work out somewhere when we would have had different world champions had this applied in the past. The championship should be about who's been best over the season, winning the last race shouldn't count as equal to two other races simply because they were earlier in the season. In reality, this season it would have simply meant the championship ended a race later than it did and still wouldn't have gone to the last race.
