Exactly, that's why I prefer my TDCi to my ST.
Even though I'm nowhere near as quick from say 0-60 the ammount of torque makes it fly from say 30-50 in 4th gear.
Who spends all day at 6,000 rpm anyway.
Top end power is fine for the race track but no good when you're trying to merge onto the M6 at 45MPH and need to get to 70MPH quickly
